Are the courts needed to set right even temple politics?

It seems that the courts will have to step in to set right the arrogance of a few which affect the faith of many in our temples and in basic human values. The case in point being the recent sham which is being tried to pass of as an election at the Sai temple. It seems that suddenly the love of temple has affected almost over 150 trustees of the temple. While hardly no more than 20 show up for the BOT meetings over 150 votes were polled during the recent elections. No marks for guessing what kind of ballots were cast. Over 60% of the ballots cast were absentee ballots.

The processes that have been ignored are far too many to list, however here is a sample of how this happened. Apparently a lot of ballots were hand delivered to chairman of the Election Committee instead of being sent via USPS. Also these were literally stuffed in his mail box giving new meaning to the word ballot stuffing. The fact that all of them came together indicates that someone has literally rounded up the ballots from the trustees. Hey if you look at the process probably they were not even trustees. You can literally request a ballot and the Election Committee has no way of verifying the address to which the ballot is being mailed. There is no way to check the signatures of the request forms either. Word is that the Executive Committee wanted to cancel the elections and call for new ones due to these irregularities, however internal fights and profit makers pushed the Election Committee to go ahead with this sham. One of the Election Committee members even resigned in protest.

What does it take for the people of Atlanta to realize that playing fair is more important than winning? An arrest maybe? That should not be difficult given the fraud and abuse of power that has been happening. Did any of you know that the jewelry put under Baba’s statue during construction has been removed and melted? We wondered how much in damages will the jury assess for emotional damage to those devotees. Apparently even the Executive Committee was not privy to this dastardly deed. The then President and Treasurer thought it not necessary to do so. Who cares for the small fry, namely the devotees?

The temple has become a place to expand everyone’s business. Apparently the word “conflict of interest” has no place in this temple. Make contacts through the temple machinery spread your business. We wonder if service is ever a motive for any of these people. And the latest news on the grapevine is that all hell will break loose in the form of a lawsuit. Will these people ever realize that the temple that rose to financial stability in a short period of time can fall down similarly if egos are not kept aside? Stay tuned for the latest happenings at the temple.

How was the gold removed and melted??
Who were the hawkers watching the show and kept quiet?Am sure the Priest, who we think close to God has become a part of Fraud in NASSTA
Was it sent for melting to India,if so did they get clearance from the customs to carry gold, this needs to be brought into the light of the State government.Ruckus animals sitting in the temple.
That dogs pic which we saw in here should be given to the Dept of Control.

The chairman of the Election Committee is the dogs best friend. He says Baba will take care always but here he took care of the dirty work.He is not a sincere devotee but a scam artist in the temple.
One wonders how they can walk without any shame on their faces.I am sure he cannot sleep peacefully when he will be served by the courts, hey your days are numbered, maybe the dog will carry the message for himself too.
Go and check your future you black sheeps

NASSTA is not a new growing organization and is following the path of celebrity sisters. The black sheep his licking their plates fast from it's mistakes. It did not go out of family run committees we can see lot of involvement from behind the scenes they are the same hard nut criminals that are the newly elected with fraudlent ballot papers from trustees who do not know who are being elected. The black sheep wants to do business with the temple so he wants his own elected candidates to run the temple. The celebrity sisters and their so called men are behind the scenes hand in glove with the new elected EC.I think these idiots should be taken to court like Tama. Poor devotees money is being swallowed we need to stop this from going forward. There are certain valid points raised by Rachabanda and I hope the EC will look into these and make sure there is greater tranperacy in their dealing and make this a strong organization.

Appeal to Celebrity sisters their men and all their chamchas You have done great harm to the community by your actions. You are a disgrace to your families, your friends, the organizations you work for,the community you live in and so forth. Sincerely request that you come out in the open and let go your ego and apologize to the community which made you leaders. And let able people work to serve BABA and not crooks like you that are in the new EC 2011.

The mastermind with the EC is Amar Duggasami,he is poisoning the temple.mind you only the black sheep is with him and the destructive celebrity sisters.Watch out even the Priest is involved with them, don't underestimate any truth in the temple anymore.

A member of the NC committee, a level headed and balanced gentleman resigned and there is no news as to why he resigned. Sometime back the entire Treasury department resigned, hot on the heels of the audit. Now one of the dog is back in action, his wife had brought the gold that was sent to India by the then treasurer and President(sisters)and the now President who wants to make the gold crown for Baba before his term is over, such egoistics idiots serve Baba with no fear to themselves and their families. They make decisions without the knowledge of the BoT. What is going on? I think the trustees should take their money out from the temple/close the temple. The politics of the temple seem to have taken sacrifice both on the good and the shady members of the committee.

Self centered and like minded people. # They do not come in the front # They terrorize candidates in elections # They steal Ballots # They make mockery of democracy # They say that others have caste feelings but they arouse religion, caste, state, district feelings according to their convenience #They have no ethics or ideology to achieve their selfish motives. # They are average actors on stage BUT are superb actors off stage. (They mesmerized the Atlanta community with Health Fair)Now Rachabanda came to show their true colors to the community. One should think whether Poker face wife is really a doctor because all the time she is at the temple trying to grab patients and Poker face advertising for her, such people who have business should never be entertained in the EC #They say and bad mouth people under the umbrella of their organization #They say they are helping visiting parents of families but they are taking information to add to their database of patients stealing from the temple. #They mislead organizations. #They play one caste against other according to their convenience. wife is a kamma and Poker face a brahmin, the EC is of all B's.Fellows who have not served even as coordinators have joined the Panel of Poker face like gummi bear, huncher(Cele sis chamcha)and Pomerian(asst treasurer)sheep of Thieves.

muundu aa srinvas gadni pampinchadni ...temple nunchi ....ittanti vaddi valle ei godavalanni....Nejam ka vad brother ne vedu jealous feel chaisthdu. He does not want his brother's name in the temple, little does he realize he wont be sitting there as President. If any of you shop at SAI MARKET be aware his wife charges extra on the bill if you do not notice, there are other stores nearby.Even the temple Priest(Ravi) advertises SAI MARKET to devotees, one can see him with his wife part time working there and sleeping in their home at nights but he will not admit sso you all can now imagine from the Priest to the President we have crooks in the SAI temple. Not to mention we have one more crook with the celebrity gang the ex VP who held post for four years who hides behind the curtain and takes refugee don't forget he is the biggest donga

In temple everyone was happy because sisters were not involving that much. But discussion is now Amar & Ravi (spouses of the sisters)are involved in temple elections? They called all trustees not to vote for the other team. These people have enjoyed their term with lies and corruption to the temple and the devotees families but still their appetite is not complete. They don't want anyone to get into the Temple. Gowtham is an immatured idiot who knows no politics and is barking unnecessarily has got into the temple as their body guard. His close friends/relatives who were running BABA temple came to vote without shame, spit on their faces. 2008 Temple President was awefully bad, people did not realize because of her being a female many people came forward with donations and voluntary work to build baba temple, little did they realize her corrupted mind.We got baba temple during her period not because of her but because of many others who did most of the ground work and got approvals done, when everything looked rosy she with other crooks wanted to take credit and threw the geniune coordinators out of positions and no trustee questioned her behaviour because they all were a part of the plot with her.Do you need to give her credit or to those that were behind doing the job. The main issue happens when family members involve. Now we have the same issue with Parmesh, his wife,Bala(his brother) and his wife. Any non profit institution will flourish if they keep family members away. April 16th blog has come so true.

Mockery of democracy in the temple elections by these people.
Sai Sevaks P Malli,Malli sisters and R Gude.
They did the following unethical things.
1.They faxed absentee ballot request forms for other trustees.
2. Collected ballots from the trustees and stamped to their candidates and mailed them.

Baba is looking and the day they will get punished is not far away.

Trustees who gave ballots blindly are also at fault.May Baba give them wisdom so that next time they request absentee ballots and mail them personally instead of encouraging rigging.

It is heard that lot of trustees,Volunteers and devottees are patients of Erramalli's clinic. They got all these patients by their association with the temple.
Is this not conflict of interest?

Can anyone name a few of the devottees who go to their clinic.

People who have business interests in the temple are as follows:

1.Srinivas Tadikamalla- Lot of groceries, pooja items, garlands etc are brought from his store. He runs a grocery store called Sai Market.

2.Paramesh and Shayamala Erramalli - They have private hospital and they are indirectly growing their business as lot of devotees who come to the temple are their patients. They came to know of these patients ONLY through the temple.

Can the Trustees raise these issues in your meetings as it is conflict of interest. Baba will bless you when you stand for what is right.

Parmesh applied for Vice President post last time against Srinivas Nimmagadda.
He knew that Srinivas Nimmagadda has applied for that position but still wanted to apply for the position.
For the information of the devotees Srinivas Nimmagadda was the secretary before and it’s only fair to apply for VP post as it’s the next step.
He was not eligible as he had attendance issue and a special BOT was called for to see if the BOT can take a vote and allow him to contest as the laws were not clear.
This shows that he was after the post rather than service.

This time the current Secretary Prasad wanted to apply for President post as the current VP was not interested in the president post.

He applied for president post.

Who is the real Sai Sevak and who is after power.

I leave it to your wisdom.

Ramesh Gude sent e-mails to trustees recently regarding Krishna Tadikamalla’s picture.

No problem.

He is entitiled to have his opinion and he can express as he strongly felt that the temple is doing a mistake and he wanted to stop it at any cost.

My questions to him:
1.How many times have you raised your voice like this?

2.Did you personally feel that this was wrong or were you being used by others (The rumour is that Srinivas Tadikamalla drafted the e-mail and Gude sent it to the contacts)

Will you atleast, moving forward be active and raise your voice against anything that you feel is not good for the temple without aligning to any particular group.

I leave it to you.

Always remember Baba is watching you and your actions.

Shayam and Padmakar sent e-mails regarding the special BOT meeting. Did they respond spontaneously?

The rumour is Parmesh and Co asked them to send that e-mail.

If that is true I pity them as they have no mind of their own and has to do on others behalf and played politics.

It is also heard that both of them have been promised Coordinator positions in Parmesh’s team.

Let’s wait and see. The truth will come out soon.

Shyam and Padmakar- Always stand for what you think is right for the temple.

We can play politics in other organizations but not at OUR Baba temple.

Dear Trustees,
Most of us became Trustees by paying $5,000 and we have 140 trustees. We all have contributed around $700000 to the temple.

The temple project is 5 Million and our contribution is nothing compared to the donations given by the devotees.

As trustees it’s our minimum responsibility to make sure we put our temple FIRST as Baba has chosen us to take care of the temple.

We have a moral responsibility to our community as trustees.

This election is over but moving forward make sure you do not encourage any UNETHICAL things in the temple and bring it to the attention of the community immediately if you find something is not being addressed in spite of repeated requests to the EC.

Let’s raise above religion, caste, groupism.

Our connection is with BABA and not with any individual or group.

Leave alone it is not only trustees there are many trustees who are her patients, even the Priest consults her. That family has seen for the past years how the temple has operated by families so now they time has come.

As per my understanding no one did dig out the gold.During the vigraha prathishtapana it seems they got too much gold from the devotees and there was no place to put it under the stautue. So the extra gold was sent to India to melt and make it a cube.

Except that they didnt inform others dont think there was anything to suspect. But the truth only BABA knows :)

But the devotees who wanted their gold to be under the statue might sentimentally feel bad, that it is not under the statue.

The best thing that can happen to such organizations is to seek legal advice and shut off these dogs out of the temple.
I agree that Priest Ravi is very arrogant and wants to be always praised,he is a spy of many dogs that extract news from him,he loves Politics and enjoys seeing the dirt in the temple. The main culprit is the President and past sisters who play the plots.
One day it is going to catch you guys,be aware.

I am a bystander who is in no way interested in these stupid politics. I am wondering really people are doing these things in the temple? But for what reason?I see some of the comments above are biased and some one who didn’t get what he/she wants or who don’t like other people is writing all this. People cannot be that bad. We cannot find fault with every act of others.

Most of the temple operations are performed by the dedicated volunteers, not by the EC or any of the power mongers. All the office bearers should not forget that they are also volunteers and not here to hold a position of power.

The temple needs to develop guidelines to run the operations and who ever is in the EC have to just follow the same steps and no personal or emotional decision making. If any changes required make the decision in BOT meeting,

Need to reduse all those meaningless poojas just to earn money. Freeze all spending for next 5years and don’t trouble devotees. This is mere cheating people. The temple should follow the BAPS Swami Narayan temple model and devotees should go pray and leave. No archanas, priests chanting those mantras which no one understand. Did BABA ever tell to perform these poojas? Are we following the simplicity and service oriented principle which BABA taught?

Also one have to understand that during the old temple days there were no procedures and people involved might have taken decisions to keep the temple operating, cant blame anyone. Now it is time to develop procedures and stick to it.

The old belief was that education makes a better person by removing ignorance, but seeing all these educated fools proves that education alone doesn’t make a civilized person.

Fickle minded people cannot serve GOD.When they are for power they will get ruined, they have no ethical values of Baba, how can they serve Baba.
Coming to talk of Narendra I think he has done a wonderful Job and is straight and honest and not a coward like the the person on the blog,he has not damned served in anyway to speak ill about Narendra, mind your tongue it may cause blisters.

If any of you really have a fear of Baba you will not see the temple going to dogs. There is so much corruption and mis-management in the hands of selected few, when someone asks a question in the BoT,it is turned down.
Find out about the Gold?(No answer)because the damage was done by celebrity sisters who have no guts to say the truth and one resigned afraid of Audit with her accomplice asst treasurer who has come back into the new EC.
About why many trustees do not come for meeting(Dirty politics)
About why coordinators resign(personal reason)
Why Priest Suresh left(personal reason)
About why Bhattar left(personal reason)
Is there any transparency in Baba temple. The devotees money is at stake in the hands of crooks.

Anonymous said...

As per no one's understanding during the vigraha pratishtapana it seems they collected gold from innocent devotees, when they knew there was no place to put it under the statue then the EC should have informed the BoT which they never did till date it has been dug in their backyards.
If the gold was to be sent then it should have been weighed here locally and informed to the Devotees/trustees,it is not their personal property to make such conveinent decisions.
It is very unethical to take Baba's property and do what they wish who knows how much and what was done in the transaction.I think this matter should be reported to the custom authorities.
The then President has the auidacy to entract with the trustees she has a spot on her character to show her face again at the temple.
Any EC member can make their own decisions and run the temple as they like as if it were their own.If you want to do what you like in USA join the Baba temple

I recently had Baba's Abhishekham done in the morning and found the Priest ravi very monotonously, disinterestedly performing the ritual,if he has no interest then he better leave the temple and find some other job than to play dirty. After paying so much one feels that the temple has become a money making place and not a temple anymore.
I also found he smiles at devotees he very well admires and is serious with people like us I presume they must be temple authorities.
With all the dirt floating around I hope the new elected members first throw out the priest Ravi.
I also heard he has named devotees with different names.

You scratch my back and I will scratch your back is the way the temple EC is going.
No damn trustee should do any business with the temple.
You need to have some moral values when serving God,when there is a trustee meeting the attendance increases otherwise it is skeleton that shows how much people are power hungry, they stoop to a level of insulting fellow trustees there is no morality left, fellow trustee yerraneni knows nothing of the temple today that he talks as if he was there from day one,you watch out with whom you gang up today will be your enemies tomorrow.
Ramesh Gude and the President used to go with the late founder and lick his feet today when he is no more these dogs turned their backs.
syamala what do you know of Baba's teaching you better read the sachcharitra, doing fraud with people.

One of the contestant's wife was doing parayan in front of Baba the whole day on Sunday when the election was going on down stairs.

I pity her for asking Baba to help her husband win the election.

Is it so important to win?

The one who did Parayan the whole day is none other than Venkat's wife.

Sai Sevaks Parmesh and co were seen in all social gatherings and community events to meet the trustees before elections.
After the elections they are no where to be seen in any community social gatherings or in the temple events.
They probably will come after 2 years for the next elections.
Are these Sai Sevaks any different from our politicians back home in India who come only during elections and show their face once in 5 years.

Food for thought.

Very sad, but true that the Sai Temple is being made a political platform. I am not completely familiar with the contestants, who won or lost, but this blog amply demonstrates intolerance, bitterness and some people's desire to be in a position of visibility and/or profit?

First of all, it is sad and also disgusting to all Sai devotees that there is so much in-fighting for such a materialistic thing as a position. What did anyone learn as a devotee? If one did not learn the basic tenet to eschew materialistic desires for the greater good, then one has no business in the temple, let alone being in a position of governance. A lot of great work done has been done for a long time, a lot of devotees have toiled here as volunteers, have supported the temple financially to bring to where it is today. Many of us go to temple as a place not only of worship but also enjoy the tranquility and being in His presence. How can this be possible if these really petty politics, insinuations, accusations, blatant name-calling are part of the temple atmosphere? When someone visits the temple, how can one ignore that there exists a vile atmosphere lurking in the background? The sanctity of the temple we all built with so much love, devotion and hard-work is being tarnished, as will the fair reputation of the community is at stake. The petty politics, ego and self-serving interests MUST be left behind if one wants to serve Sai, especially at the Temple.

Overall, though it is a pathetic situation, all is not lost. We can still come together, sort out the differences in opinion, be open about intentions, demonstrating by deeds. If there indeed were irregularities in the election process it is time for the Board of Trustees examine the process and make amends by changing appropriate by-laws. If ballot stuffing did exist, then the election should be declared void - but someone has to prove the irregularity first, such as an unauthorized proxy.

Anyway, hopefully folks will come to their senses, realize the importance of leaving the ego or whatever that is driving them towards ungodly actions and LEAVE SAI TEMPLE ALONE.

Anonymous said...

Can anyone be more elaborate on ballot stuffing and vote fraud? We need to get to the bottom of this and discredit the main people behind this fraud.

One thing I dont understand, if you believe in baba then you should not talk, because if they had done wrong then baba would not have made them elected. If you think this is politics, then you are saying baba is also included in this, so you are blaming and abusing baba because he did not make you elected?

Also, I dont understand why we are doing all hindu poojasa on baba, he is not even a hindu and he never expected that and also will not understand the mantras, I support the comment which says it should be like baps. Atleast baba will have peace of mind.
