I am Umesh Muthyala serving as the Technology Coordinator for the current year 2009. One needs a deep understanding of the most up-to-date Technology and a desire to make a difference in the community using Technology as the enabler. Over the last year I have proven my capabilities in both these areas.
Two key areas of technology that are experienced by our community are the TAMA website and the weekly e-Newsletter. Hope you had an opportunity to experience several new enhancements I have delivered over the past year on both the fronts. I summarize a subset of these enhancements here:
• Modified Old Website (Static HTML) to Dyanamic Datadriven website - This has resulted in tremendous flexibility and provided an agile development platform to rapidly add content to the site to bring latest happenings at a fast pace.
• Converted Newsletter format to the New HTML Format - This has significantly improved the reader experience of the newsletter
• All news, events, and membership information are data driven providing ease of archiving and auditing capability.
• Ability for the members to update the directory Information in the community White Pages
I have several exciting enhancements I am planning for 2010 and am hoping to deliver on them with your support. Some example includes:
• Build an administrative tool to upload content easily
• Ability to add advertisements in real-time - This provides enhanced sponsorship revenue for TAMA
• Ability to add members to the site in realtime
My profession in software development requires me to keep myself abreast of the latest technology. My core technology skills include ASP.net, C#, HTML, and strong database background. I am also well versed with various freeware, free tools availabe to support non-profit development, thus providing TAMA Technology Run/Maintain at a very affordable cost to the community.
With your support and blessing, I along with our TEAM TAMA 2010 will continue to provide my services as Technology Co-ordinator.
Sincerely,
Umesh Muthyala
